The Pocono Garlic Festival
This fun-filled event is a mix of the legendary Pocono-grown garlic, entertainment so good you’ll think you’re at a high-priced concert, a gaggle of gifted craftspeople and artisans, and lots and lots of great food--all of it liberally laced with garlic.
Now in its 14th year, the Pocono Garlic Festival has become a Labor Day weekend “must” for thousands and thousands of people--they know a good thing when they smell it.

The food
will be abundant, and in keeping with the reason for the Festival, very much garlic-oriented. About 40 restaurants and maverick cooks and chefs dazzle Festival goers with their creations. They range from the gourmet, to the tried and true like garlic roasted pig, to the outright zany, like roasted garlic ice cream and garlic funnel cakes. There's always so much food that many Festival goers bring along coolers so they can take some home for the refrigerator or freezer. |

The craftspeople and artisans
are high-class. Although working in diverse media, all find a way to offer some garlic-themed wares. |

The live entertainment
runs all day long, each day, and so much of it that three stages will be running at once. Much of it will be performed by some of the area's most distinguished musicians, and some funky ones too.

There you have it--Lots of entertainment, lots of crafts, lots of food. Huge amounts of garlic.

The bucolic country setting of Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is minutes away from all roads leading to the Poconos.
Admission:
Adults $10 at the gate, $7.50 in advance.
Children (ages 3 to 12 )$7.50 at the gate, $6 in advance.
Children under 3 admitted free.
Children’s admission price includes use of the Shawnee Place,
the best children’s playground and swimming pool in Pennsylvania.
